Delana D. Nelson, RDH-I
I was born in Sturgis, SD and was raised in the country. I went to the University of South Dakota in Vermillion for my RDH degree and getting the South Dakota State Board of Dentistry Scholarship. My husband and I have been blessed with four children and a dental practice that we were always fortunate enough to always have a great ‘Team’! We built this practice based on treating each and every patient as if they were our own family. We always listen to our patients and we like to have fun with them, laughter and smiles are the best medicine when in a place where most people have fears. I grew up in a family that had a lot of laughter; it is fun to pass it on. One of the best things in life, I feel, is making people comfortable and them knowing they are being treated honestly. That is always our goal and my goal when I am talking to every person or patient I meet.
I have been a dental assistant for 25 years. I started with Dr. Nelson 3 years ago. I have a husband, step children, a son, daughter and a beautiful new grand daughter.

She graduated in the spring of 2015 from Western Dakota Tech through the sponsorship of Dr. Nelson. She loves the outdoors and helping all patients have a great dental experience by always showing enthusiasm and genuine care for your family.
Arissa grew up in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. While attending Sheridan College and the University of Wyoming she obtained her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. Arissa comes from a large family with many nieces and nephews that keep her very busy.
I grew up in Rapid City and graduated from the University of South Dakota in Dental Hygiene. I worked for 5 years in a periodontal practice then moved into the area of General Dentistry, in which I have many years’ experience. I love my dental home in Dr. Jim Nelson’s practice because the atmosphere is one of outstanding patient care, friendliness, empathy, and integrity. Best of all are the wonderful people of all ages, that pass through our door and permit us to serve them.

My name is Courtni. I have been a dental assistant for Dr. Nelson for the past three years. My first child, a daughter, was just born Aug 9, 2015. I like spending my spare time with her, my husband, and our 2-year-old black lab. We enjoy outdoor activities when the weather is nice, and baking and cooking during the cold winter months. I love my job here at Dr. Nelson’s and could not imagine a better person to work for.
